AZIMUT REPORTS STRONG SALES

in the US Italian yacht building group Azimut-Benetti has grown business in the US by 20 per cent over the last year, according to an announcement made by the group at the Cannes boat show yesterday.
The group says that over 50 per cent of its business is now conducted in the Americas, both north and south. Within that region, Brazil is the company’s number one market, followed by the US.

Azimut says that the growth the group has seen in the US at this time is ‘unique in the industry’ and that the growth confirms their position as number one importer in the US.

Superyacht division Benetti has also set a record year with 14 new superyacht deliveries and 17 new contracts signed — an increase of 200 per cent on last year.
Azimut-Benetti is premiering its largest Azimut so far, the 120, at the Oct 2011 Cannes show.
