The successful and proven concept of shared boat ownership is growing fast. It simply doesn't make financial sense for many people to own a boat outright - so for them sharing a boat with others in a syndicate is the smart way to own a boat. Imagine cruising the beautiful Australian waters or exploring inlets along our coast aboard your very own luxury Flybridge cruiser.

Here is How Our Concept Works for You

How you find the flybridge yacht of your dreams

Before you purchase one or more fractions in a luxury Sealine flybridge cruiser we help you determine which of our yachts best suits your needs. Our fleet represents brand new Sealine motor cruisers (12m and above) with full warranties.

Why you can afford it

We will divide your vessel into 10 fractions. To become owner of one fraction we ask for a cash payment of only 3% of the total value of the yacht and 10% of the actual annual costs of ownership (about 1% of the value of the yacht per year).

Example

One fraction of a $500,000 flybridge cruiser will cost about *$15.000 and annual $5.000 for costs of ownership. *TAP

Buy the fraction you really use

Each fraction gives you the possibility to use your cruiser 33 days per year. Each owner receives a complete calendar for 3-6 years in advance. You always have the option of trading with another owner.

Approximately 35 days each year are set aside for long week ends, public holidays etc which a rotated to the members each year and to reposition the yacht for technical maintenance.

How you receive you investment back

After 3-6 years the yacht is sold and the nett revenues of the yacht will be divided among the fractional owners. Based upon our experience we expect this amount will be equal to your initial investment.

Accountant

Each yacht will have it’s own bank account. All payments and deposits will go directly into that account. After finalising the agreement, this account will become the operating account for the yacht. Shareholders will receive an annual audited financial statement.

We offer an all-inclusive "walk-on walk-off" service for our clients. All cleaning, engine checks, maintenance, refurbishment, repairs and vessel up keeping work is done for the owners by 5 Star Motor Cruisers. There is absolutely nothing to worry about - you just pick up your boat on the day you have it booked and return it. We will take care of all work and costs associated with boat ownership:

FAQ

Do I need any special licence or training to operate my motor yacht?

All boat owners must have a full boat licence which can be obtained through their state authorising body such as Waterways in NSW Australia. There will be special training on berthing, handling and operating the Sealine motor yacht so that you are familiar with the boat before you take it out for the first time.

How many boat owners are there per boat?

There are between 2 and 10 depending on the syndicate and size of yacht. Each owner has their proportioned cost and hence rights.

How often can I use the boat?

A rotating roster cycles will determine the frequency until the end of each owner’s contract.

Can I swap a weekend with other owners if my allocated weekend is not convenient?

You may organise any weekend that you like as long as it is acceptable with one of the other owners.

What happens with public holidays and long weekends?

If you have a long weekend in one year then you cannot have it the following year (unless you swap with another owner).

What extras will I need to bring?

You may bring all food and alcohol that you want to enjoy on your weekend away. We can also provide these for you and charge them to your credit card.
